Well, actually, shit. Am I? I got 1 opportunity / offer to be an influencer & I’m V excited about it.
so, like, but does that count as actually BEING an influencer? Imma have to ponder on that one. Maybe do some research. Maybe ask other influencers what ACTUALLY defines you as an influencer….is it 1 opportunity? Multiple? Repeated? Eh, whatever.
ANYWAY.
let’s cut to the chase & talk about this AWESOME product below!
I wanted to write an honest, little blurb about this sweet, family-owned company LURVZ that sent me a DM & asked me if I’d like to test out their kitchen utensils – umm, YES?!
The utensils came neatly packaged in a cardboard box, individually wrapped with plastic, a cute matching holder & a code to scan for instructions / watch video.
The mint green color definitely grabbed my attention & my eye – if you didn’t know by now, PINK is definitely my color of choice, but this mint green is so adorable, I couldn’t resist!
With all the cheap ways to make products these days, I was happy to see that LURVZ utensils are the real thing – environmentally friendly! BPA free & a wooden handle to cut down on the extra use of silicone and / or plastics. And best of all – DISHWASHER SAFE! If that doesn’t make you scoot on over to order them then I don’t know what will!
They were easy to clean, easy to use & felt good in my hands – you know the feeling, when something just feels right when you pick it up. The silicone is lightweight without feeling cheap & the wooden handles are smooth and polished, giving a durable, quality feeling when I was cooking with them.
If you read my blog entry a couple of weeks ago, you’ll see that I published my Cajun-ish Shrimp & Grits – I figured it was the perfect meal to make to put multiple utensils to the test & LURVZ passed with flying colors!
I also made my *infamous* Cheesy Oven Bruschetta alongside my Cajun-ish Shrimp & Grits, so I also used the baster brush to gently brush olive oil on top of my bread to toast in the oven. The Baster Brush handle was longer than most baster brushes I’ve used in the past, so I liked the extra control it gave me.
For my Cajun-ish Shrimp & Grits, I used the whisk for the grits, the tongs for the shrimp & a scooper-spoon to get everything plated!
The Whisk was great, I loved the silicone coating so it didn’t scratch up my pot! I also liked knowing that these utensils are heat-resistant so if I accidentally left it in the pan, I wouldn’t come back to a melted plastic disaster!
The Tongs weren’t a “slick” silicone, it seemed to be a tad different than the other utensils, which was great for turning over slippery shrimp with ease! I was able to gently grip each shrimp to flip it over without dropping it into the sauce and splashing all over myself.
The Scooper-Spoon (idk if that’s what it’s called, but I’m calling it that) was angled *just-so* that I could expertly scrape each little bit of grits out of the pot & into our bowls – no waste whatsoever!
The Silicone Brush has a nice & long handle, making it easy to use and operate! I loved how long the bristles are too – they aren’t super flimsy & keep the oil / sauce in the bristles to brush on whatever you need without a sloppy mess!
I humbly appreciate LURVZ reaching out to me & making one of my *hidden* dreams come true! I absolutely love this blog journey I’ve been on and am so flattered at the traction it has gained in less than 6 months! I’ve loved taking the time to actually give genuine time & put effort into a fellow foodie-business that was kind enough to take a chance on me reviewing their products. Cooking a meal in real time, with real products to share with my followers was nothing short of FUN & I hope you’ll give LURVZ products a try! They are available on Amazon & I guarantee that you will see the value as much as I did!
